For graduate students only with a preference for engineering and science majors. This course places an emphasis on managing the challenges experienced by high-growth ventures, especially those based on innovation-based products and services. Students develop a set of skills and approaches to becoming effective entrepreneurial leaders and managers.Applications for this course will be reviewed by the instructors, and students will be informed of decisions prior to the start of the course.
- Business model analysis, deal structure and negotiation
- Raising capital and financial management
- Venture operations and organizational administration
- Managing the interplay between ownership and growth
- Handling adversity as well as failure.
