SCPD serves as the central finance administrator for all SCPD-supported Stanford extended education courses and programs.

Accounting & Administration

Our finance team, working in collaboration with our programs team, records revenues from our program portfolios including:

  • credit-bearing courses, certificates, & degrees
  • professional education courses & programs
  • custom programs
  • third party platforms (such as Coursera)  

SCPD distributes course and program revenues from these portfolios to contributing faculty, departments, schools, and to the university in accordance with applicable financial policies.

Management & Strategy

We provide financial and other data generated from accounting for extended education activity to departments, schools, and the university to help them monitor and influence operational activity relative to their strategic goals. SCPD aims to meet the needs of many Stanford stakeholders by creating financial projections and reporting financial results across multiple dimensions – by school, department,  topic, portfolio, and program.

Contracts & Compliance

SCPD’s finance team collaborates with the SCPD contracts and compliance team and central university offices to provide data and reports that fulfill legal and policy requirements of departments, schools, and the university, as well as local, state, federal, and international regulatory bodies. Areas of reporting include taxation, foreign activity, and compensation.
