Disability Access and Accommodations

The Stanford Center for Professional Development is committed to making our web site and programs broadly accessible, including to users with disabilities.

Online Courses

SCPD coordinates disability-related accommodations with Stanford’s Office of Accessible Education and/or Stanford’s Diversity & Access Office depending on the type of program in which a participant is enrolled.

If you encounter an accessibility problem with an online course or need a disability-related accommodation to participate in any online program/course, please contact:

Jonathan Notman
Director of Student and Client Services

On-campus Accessibility Information

Accessibility Maps

The Campus Access Guide is an online system of maps detailing disability access information, including nearest disability parking, step-free path of travel, and accessible entrances to campus facilities.  This project is ongoing and updates continue to occur. If any building is not listed, please contact Stanford’s Diversity & Access Office for additional information.

Disability Parking

If you have a state-issued (any state) disability parking placard or plate you may park in the designated blue disability parking spaces, service vehicle spaces, commuter (“A” or “C”) and residential permit spaces and/or metered spaces.

Please note: Stanford’s Diversity and Access Office does not provide transportation to classes. The closest disabled parking to the Main Quad is located at the Oval. From the Oval, use the ramped path to the right of the steps to reach the arcade level.

Accessible Entrances

If the main entrance to a building is not step-free, directional signage will indicate the route to the nearest accessible entrance.

Sign Language Interpreting Services & Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive listening devices, sign language and oral interpreting services for the deaf and the hearing impaired are available upon request. Please contact the Diversity & Access Office to request interpreters or assistive listening devices.

Large Print or Braille Material

Printed materials for Stanford Center for Professional Development courses can be made available upon request by contacting the Diversity & Access Office

Additional Information
