During the autumn, winter and spring quarters, the Stanford Center for Professional Development makes it possible for the public to view a series of thought-provoking seminars on a broad range of topics. The weekly seminars feature presentations by distinguished Stanford faculty, senior researchers and industry experts. They are available for viewing online via streaming video.

Registering will give you access to the seminars and set a cookie allowing you to bypass this registration page when you return. Doug Englebart: Colloquium at Stanford Listen to and learn from visionary Douglas C. Engelbart, Ph.D., as he talks about his life's work, creative process, and his concerns and vision for the future. Many things which shape the way we think and work, such as the personal computer, the internet, "open systems" and "user-friendly" interfaces can be attributed entirely or in large part to work done or led by Engelbart in the '60's and 70's.

Stanford 2004 Summer Engineering Research Forum (formerly known as "Planet-X") Stanford faculty and experts from industry and the public sector share their work and insights during this symposium held at Stanford in July 2004.

F.A.S.T. Forum View presentations from the Future of Air and Space Travel Forum held in July 2003 on the Stanford campus in celebration of the 100th anniversary of manned flight.
