Graduate study in Electrical Engineering can be undertaken on a part-time basis through the SCPD HCP program. The SCPD enables HCP students in member companies to complete courses through distance learning technologies. When courses of interest are not available through distance learning, HCP students can come to campus to class. To participate, you must apply to and be admitted to the Electrical Engineering graduate program. Degree and admissions requirements, with deadlines, may be found on the Electrical Engineering Web site.

MSEE degree students with interest in the following EE areas of specialization may complete degree requirements entirely through distance learning.

  • Computer Hardware
  • Computer Software Systems
  • Control and System Engineering
  • Communication Systems
  • Electronic Circuits
  • Electronic Devices, Sensors, and Technology (limited course choice)
  • Image Systems
  • Network Systems

While many course requirements can be completed at a distance, MSEE degree students with interest in the following EE areas of specialization will need to come to campus to complete requirements in these areas.

  • Fields, Waves, and Radioscience
  • Lasers, Optoelectronics, and Quantum Electronics
  • Signal Processing
  • Solid State Materials and Devices

Non Degree Option (NDO) students interested in these areas of study should review the Electrical Engineering certificate programs.

See EE Course Advisor for curriculum related questions.
