Description
Develops an understanding of techniques for analyzing the vast amount of biological data from recent genomic research to explore new applications. Emphasizes molecular biology in addressing topics ranging from sequence, structure and function analysis to the context of algorithms, databases and visualization.

Those interested in obtaining the Certificate must take BIOMEDIN214, one course from the Biology focus and one course from the Computer Science focus. In addition, they must obtain a grade of B or better in each course.

To begin working toward this graduate certificate, enroll in any of the required courses as a Non Degree Option (NDO) student.

Request for Certificate
After completing all course requirements, submit a Certificate Request form to SCPD. Upon receipt of the completed form, SCPD will forward the request to the academic department for approval and processing of the certificate.
