Sponsoring Academic Department: Alliance for Innovative Manufacturing at Stanford

Description
Students pursue a unique course of interdisciplinary study to address these fundamental questions about the product design and manufacturing process: What makes a manufacturing process "tick"? How do you develop new products with manufacturing technology in mind? How do you plan and execute a successful product launch and manage efficient production systems? How do you estimate cost and manage finances associated with product creation and execution? How do you apply current Stanford research to product creation and manufacturing?

Course of Study
To obtain the certificate, complete four courses, one in each of three areas, plus a fourth course from any one of the three areas, with a letter grade indicator of 3.0 or better.
