I am pleased to announce a special new offering for Stanford alumni to better serve you in your career development and intellectual growth. The School of Engineering, through the Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD), is extending the opportunity to enroll in Stanford academic online courses even if you are not presently employed by an SCPD member company.

After conducting a well-received pilot test, we're extending this program to permit Stanford alumni to participate in a wide range of Stanford engineering, science, engineering management and interdisciplinary courses previously open to only SCPD member companies. All courses will be available on a credit or audit basis with the payment of SCPD tuition and fees. Courses are accessed through Stanford Online, the School of Engineering's award-winning Internet delivery system. SCPD also offers Professional Education short courses in a broad range of topics including project management, biomedical informatics, telecommunications and semiconductors.
