HCP students are required to register for Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters, and must indicate their intention to register for the upcoming quarter(s) through AXESS. A multiple quarter commitment is recommended.

HCP students register for courses in two ways each quarter:

	1.	Near the end of the prior quarter, submit the regular SCPD enrollment application for the upcoming quarter. Check the SCPD schedule for the HCP enrollment deadline.
		Note: Always check with the department for special course sign-ups for courses with limited enrollment.
	2.	Submit a Study List of courses for the quarter through AXESS by 11:59pm on the Sunday after the second week of classes. (After that time late charges will be assessed.

If an HCP student cannot register for a quarter, the student must file a Leave of Absence petition with their department.

If an HCP student fails to register or to submit a Leave of Absence petition for a quarter, the student must seek Reinstatement to continue. Applications for reinstatement are available for a fee from the Graduate Admissions Support Section of the Registrar's Office, and must be submitted by the first day of the quarter for which reinstatement is sought.

Individuals who have applied previously for admission to a graduate program, but who have never enrolled, are required to file a new Application for Admission to Graduate Study.
