Steps in getting started after you've been admitted to Stanford:

Response to Offer of Admission (ROA)
Submit a signed Response to Offer of Admission form to the Graduate Admissions Support Section of the University Registrar's Office.

Course Enrollment each Quarter: SCPD and AXESS
HCP students register for courses in two ways each quarter:
1. Submit the SCPD enrollment application for the upcoming quarter. Deadlines are near the end of the prior quarter. Check the SCPD schedule for the HCP enrollment deadline.
Note: Check with the department for special course sign-ups for courses with limited enrollment.
2. Submit a Study List of courses for the quarter through AXESS
AXESS is the University online registration system.
A Study List is the list of courses you are taking in a given quarter. You must file a Study List each quarter by 11:59pm on the Sunday after the second week of classes or late charges will be assessed.
You may revise your submitted Study List later through AXESS, but must first send SCPD an SCPD Enrollment Form indicating the changes.
Identification Cards and Personal Identification Numbers (PIN)
Picture ID cards offer access to numerous campus services and University facilities, and can be used as a campus debit card.
If you are an SCPD student at a remote site, you will only need an ID card during quarters spent on campus. Obtain your card when you come to campus.
You must come to campus to receive your ID. For instructions on obtaining an ID card and PIN, contact the University Registrar's Office at 650-723-2041 or go to the Web site.
Once you have been accepted and are beginning study in a Stanford master's program as an Honors Cooperative Student (HCP), you will register for courses in two ways each quarter:
  3. Submit the regular SCPD enrollment application for the quarter by the HCP deadline.
4. Commit to register through AXESS
Note: Always check with the department for special course sign-ups for courses with limited enrollment.

There are a number of steps to remember in enrolling in Stanford courses each quarter. To keep the process on track, refer to the checklist of steps for enrolling at Stanford.
