Welcome! The following will help you get started each quarter.

NDO students register for courses through SCPD:
 |
 |
 |
| 1. |
Submit an SCPD enrollment application by the NDO deadline for the upcoming quarter. Check the SCPD schedule for the NDO enrollment deadline. |
| 2. |
Submit official transcripts from all previous universities or colleges to SCPD. Plan ahead. The transcript request process must begin early, as delays in receiving transcripts are common. Your enrollment application cannot be processed without transcripts. Send transcripts to: SCPD Registrar, 496 Lomita Mall, Durand Building, Room 301, Stanford, CA 94305-4036. |
| |
Note: Returning NDO students do not need to submit transcripts, since SCPD will have transcripts on file. |
| 3. |
Indicate method of payment. If you are paying for the course and obtaining reimbursement from your company, include a check or provide a credit card number. If your company is paying directly, the company will be invoiced. |
| |
Note: Always check with the department for special course sign-ups for courses with limited enrollment. |
 |
 |
 |
1. |
An NDO enrollment must be approved by the department that is offering the course. Each course is approved by the appropriate department each quarter. Enrollment is not complete until approved by the department. |
| 2. |
Upon departmental approval of enrollment each quarter, SCPD will notify the student and the company coordinator of registration status. |
| 3. |
If enrollment is not approved, SCPD will notify the student and the company coordinator of registration status. |
| 4. |
Please note: Departmental approval for NDO course enrollment does not guarantee later admission to the department as a master's student. To be admitted to a master's program, you need to apply through the regular Stanford graduate admissions process. |
 |
 |
| NDO students study at a distance and do not come to campus for classes. |
 |
 |
 |
1. |
When a first time NDO student is approved for enrollment, the student is assigned a Stanford University ID number. NDO students are not issued picture ID cards. |
| 2. |
With a Stanford ID number, NDO students can obtain Stanford computer accounts. Detailed instruction s for obtaining computer accounts will be provided during the week before classes begin. |

NDO students have access to two campus libraries when enrolled in courses: Terman Engineering Library and Meyer Library. Bring a photo ID.

Unofficial grade reports are mailed to the NDO student's home address within 2-3 weeks after the end of each quarter. Official transcripts can be obtained from the Stanford University Registrar's Office at 650-723-2086.
NDO students can see their grades and obtain an unofficial
transcript through AXESS
Official transcripts can be requested through the Registrar's Web site:
There are a number of steps to remember in enrolling in Stanford courses each quarter. To keep the process on track, refer to the checklist of steps for enrolling at Stanford. |
