New Perspectives on Cardiovascular Device Design and Evaluation
This course provides interdisciplinary education in an intensive 3½ day format, specifically designed for industry professionals. It is the only course of its kind, offering a combination of engineering and medical principles, and crystallizing key components of the university's cardiovascular bioengineering program in lectures and hands-on lab sessions.

To provide an introduction to form (anatomy) and function (biology, physiology) of the cardiovascular system |

To bridge the gap between traditional engineering disciplines and cardiovascular bioengineering |

To offer both bio-engineering and clinical perspectives in considering medical device design |

To apply cardiovascular bioengineering principles to device design and development. |
