The Stanford Center for Professional Development
For more than thirty years, the center has collaborated with School of Engineering and other Stanford faculty to link Stanford and industry. Graduate academic courses and programs are delivered to industry students via distance education technologies. Comprehensive and timely professional education learning opportunities are offered on-campus as well as online. The Stanford Center for Professional Development sponsors the Stanford Engineering and Science Institute.

The Stanford Engineering and Science Institute
This annual event brings together a "community of scholars" in industry and academia for discourse on the leading engineering, scientific and technological subjects of the day. Combining Stanford research with industry practice, the institute stimulates the endeavors of practicing engineers, scientists and technology professionals in their work to make the world a better place.
