The Stanford Center for Professional Development
For more than thirty years, the center has collaborated with School of Engineering and other Stanford faculty to link Stanford and industry. Graduate academic courses and programs are delivered to industry students via distance education technologies. Comprehensive and timely professional education learning opportunities are offered on-campus as well as online. The Stanford Center for Professional Development captured the 2004 Computational Systems Bioinformatics Conference on film.

The Computational Systems Bioinformatics (CSB) Conference
This annual event at Stanford University focus on building a lever and finding a place to stand. The “lever” is comprised of the resources found in the multidisciplinary presentations. Applying the lever of biological discovery at the points of innovation identified by cutting-edge research can change the world of biology, medicine and drug discovery. And by changing this world, change the lives of the people waiting for cures.
