Participants have the flexibility of taking individual courses or earning a Stanford Advanced Computer Security Certificate by completing the 3 core courses and any 3 electives.

  • Software Security Foundations Certificate (formerly Computer Security Foundations)
**In order to receive credit, you must attend 90-95% of the class time.

PREREQUISITES

We recommend you have the equivalent of a BS in Computer Science and a background in security. If you are not able to answer these questions, we HIGHLY recommend that you take the Software Security Foundations Certificate (formerly Computer Security Foundations) (online only) as the first course, because it provides the fundamentals necessary for the subsequent courses in the program.

WHAT YOU WILL EARN

  • When you complete the program, you will receive the Stanford Advanced Computer Security Certificate from the Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD).
  • Each course will earn 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU).
