Ryan Chin is the Associate Director of Marketing for SCPD. Ryan's position allows the SCPD marketing team to fine-tune marketing strategies, open new lines of communication with member companies, and explore new markets for SCPD's growing portfolio of courses and programs. "My job is primarily tactical: first to define and then to implement the marketing plan for both the academic and the ProEd programs," says Chin. "I need to keep in contact with all the sectors we serve: faculty, industry coordinators in our member companies and, of course, industry students." Chin is a native of California, and came to the Bay area to obtain his undergraduate degree and stayed to earn his MBA. His education has ranged from sports management to marketing and technology. "I've always been drawn to technology, no matter where I worked, and Stanford University is at the cutting-edge of technology." When asked about what drew him to SCPD, Chin says, "The combination of the advanced technology, education, and the environment itself." After just a few weeks on the job, Chin is impressed with SCPD and his colleagues. "I get a sense of pride and a sense of enthusiasm for what everyone is doing here. Everyone here believes passionately in their work. So do I." |
