Armando Muniz is the newest Distribution team member. "I just came here in February of 2001, so I'm the new guy. I haven't gone through every phase of the job yet and have a lot to learn." Muniz was in Return Materials Authorization for a scanner company before he came to Stanford. "As with a lot of companies these days, there were talks of relocation -- I was ready for a new challenge anyway. My brother told me how great the Stanford community was -- the people, the campus, everything. So when I heard about this position, I went for it." He enjoys the contact with the greater Stanford community, both when he does "the route" and when he solves student issues. "I'm also learning something new in computers. I've been a Windows user and now I have to use a Mac. It's good to be learning so much and to know that what I am learning is important for our students." Muniz plays semi-pro soccer. "I'm a soccer-fanatic, really. So, I love physically getting outside on this campus, having to do my route every day -- it's gorgeous. What my brother said about working at Stanford? Every single thing he said is true." |
