The Stanford Advanced Project Management Certificate Program provides professionals with advanced tools and techniques to strategically execute projects, programs and portfolios. The program consists of a curriculum of short, noncredit courses that combine Stanford University's academic and research expertise with proven project management methodologies from leading-practice companies.
The result is a dynamic program that provides advanced skills and practical instruction on the processes, organizational structure and tools that assure project work yields desired business results.

Earning the Certificate
Participants have the flexibility of taking individual courses within the program or earning the Stanford Advanced Project Management Certificate by completing the three required courses and three electives.
This certificate grants the professional credential of Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM), which may be used on business cards and resumes. Records are archived with Stanford University at the Stanford Center for Professional Development office and are available for verification upon request.
Courses may be taken in any order and any method of instruction: online, in-person or at work.
Professional Development Units
The Stanford Center for Professional Development is a registered education provider of the Project Management Institute.
Professional Development Units (PDUs) may be earned for each course taken as part of the Stanford Advanced Project Management Program to maintain certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Time to Complete Certificate
The program’s online courses are self-paced and available on-demand for 60 days after the date of enrollment. This enables you to complete the program at your own pace. Each course takes roughly 20 hours to complete depending on your familiarity with the topic and experience with online learning. Each on campus course is two and a half days.
