Stanford Faculty - Meet Laura Attardi

Laura Attardi is a professor of radiation oncology and genetics who teaches in the Stanford Genetics and Genomics Certificate program.

Laura Attardi has dedicated much of her time to cancer research and is currently working on examining the p53 tumor suppressor gene which plays a crucial role in protecting organisms from developing cancer. She has taught in the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Genetics at Stanford since 2008 and was recently honored as a Gabilan Fellow. This award is given to faculty members whose fellowship aims to contribute to the support of women in the sciences and engineering at Stanford. Additionally, Attardi is a scholar of the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
