Stanford Advanced Computer Security

Certificate Program

Earning the certificate

Participants have the flexibility of taking individual courses or earning a Stanford Advanced Computer Security Certificate by completing the 3 required courses and any 3 electives.
Courses maybe be taken online at anytime.
When you complete the program, you will receive the Stanford Advanced Computer Security Certificate from the Stanford Center for Professional Development.
Each course will earn 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU).
In order to receive credit for an online course, you must pass the course exam with a 90% score or higher.

Prerequisites

We recommend you have the equivalent of a BS in Computer Science and a background in security. If you are not able to answer these questions, we HIGHLY recommend that you take the Software Security Foundations Certificate (online only) as the first course, because it provides the fundamentals necessary for the subsequent courses in the program.

Record of Completion for Professional Courses

You will receive a record of completion (certified PDF) via email upon completion of each course which contains your course history. The PDF is proof of course completion for reimbursement and can be requested at any time, on an as needed basis.

If Continuing Education Units (CEU's) are needed in order to maintain your yearly requirements for certain industry certifications or licensures, please call customer service at 650 204-3984. CEU transcripts are mailed by the Continuing Studies department and take approximately 6 weeks from course completion.
