This position reports to the Information Technology Manager in the Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD). The Network Specialist will have responsibility for supporting IT/IS systems for the Center for Professional Development, a 24x7 environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that SCPD maintains a high level of security across its heterogeneous IT infrastructure, including all IT networks, servers, workstations, and enterprise applications, including PCI compliance management.

The Network Specialist will provide vision and leadership for developing and supporting information technologies and security initiatives for both the PCI enterprise application and the department infrastructures. Direct the planning and implementation of enterprise systems, business operation, and IT infrastructures' defenses against security breaches and vulnerability issues. The Network Specialist will focus efforts in coordinating consistent, high quality technical support activities for the SCPD.
